Good Morning, Delicate Doilies is such a fun stamp set; doilies seem to be very popular right now. I had fun with this card, it is so neat to stamp something and see it come alive with color. This card is so soothing. Thanks for stopping by today, have a great weekend.

It's Friday!! Yea, it's been a long week for me. I am looking forward to two days of down time. I like the colors on this card. The stamps are two-step stamps, they are fun to use and really pop with color. When I was finished with the card, I set the card on my desk to look at it, and oops, it fell on my gray stamp pad. If you look closely, you can see the gray on the ribbon and a little on the side. That’s what I get for leaving my stamp pad open. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

The weekend is here and it appears we may have sun and a bit warmer weather for a few days. I stopped off at the nursey on my home from work and got a few lavendar plants (to relplace the two that froze last year) and astible plants for color in a shaded area. So, I plan on working in the garden, then touch up the house, and then stamp the remainder of the day. Sounds like fun?

Don't these flowers look like carnations? I used the scallop circle punch and punched 8 scallop circles out of vellum, one out of Wild Wasabi; sponged ink on both sides and edges of the vellum; scrunched the vellum real well; attached the vellum together using Multipurpose Glue (page 206 in Idea Book & Catalog); form the layers and attach to Wild Wasabi circle. Then attach to large paper clip (available at stores like Office Depot). They make a really cute bookmark, or put a magnet on the back and stick it to something. A real fun project.

Here is a card that a good friend sent me, Tina Waddell (she is also one of my downlines). This card is soooo pretty in person. So much texture, the colors are perfect. The technique is called Tri-Shutter, you can find the instructions on Splitcoaststampers.com. The stamp set is Dream Gardens, unfortunately, the set just retired. It will be missed. Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by.

I just love this set. The flowers just pop on cards. Isn't it neat the way the light reflects behind the flowers? I embossed with black emboss powder, then spritzed the paper with water, then dabbed with drops of re-inkers. Once they are dry, cut out and wallah, pretty pretty flowers.
